Other than lifting up the villages, Ven. Tissa thero make sure to take care of the villagers too. Ven. Thero monthly donate some money to elderly people for medications and pilgrimages, with the support of President in Jayasena Dissanayaka fund, Ms. Anoma Dissanayake. For last 13 years at the Ruwanweli Maha Saya Stpua Tissa thero has being doing a Buddhist ceremony as a memorial to extend gratitude towards the war heroes of the country.

Also distribute needful to the school children in needy families. Apart from that Ven. Thero support rural villages, and other temples with lesser funds through both money and rations. Also distribute needful for the Sunday schools and its children, giving food for special occasions are only few of the great activities of Ven. Jinawansha tissa thero. The temple vehicle is always free on service to the needy villagers who need transportation to nearest hospital in anytime of the day.

It's very difficult to count or describe every single work or services which thero is conducting. Because now, it has become a daily habit of him to provide support for those who seek.  As a result of his honest work, he is not only gaining blessings from humans but unknown forces like gods too. As a gift for his honest service with compassion, he also received a supernatural healing power to heal anyone either physically or mentally challenged. And using this extra ordinary power, thero has been able to heal many countless people who come to him asking for a solution for their problems. He is always extend his gratitude toward to the villagers who helped in his monk hood to carry out this much of work. Because of his numerous religious and social works thissa thero has being honored by the honorary title "Asarana Sarana (the one who serve others)" which is rarely given for a monk.
